Emotion help
There are lots and lots of different emotions – and they all make us feel a bit different. Sometimes, you might feel more than one of these things at once – humans are complex things! Here is a list of some emotions that you might feel from time-to-time.
How are you feeling?
Happiness
This is when you feel really, really good inside. It’s like when you get a surprise gift or spend time with your favourite people, and you can’t stop smiling.
Calm
Calm is when you feel peaceful and relaxed. It’s like a quiet, happy feeling that helps you stay focused and comfortable.
Excitement
Excitement is when you feel like you’re about to burst with joy! It’s that feeling you get on your birthday or when you’re about to go on a fun adventure.
Love
Love is a warm and fuzzy feeling you have for someone you care about deeply, like your family, your best friend, or your pet. It’s a feeling that makes you want to hug and be kind to them.
Proud
Feeling proud is when you did something really well, and you feel happy about it. It’s like a little pat on the back from yourself for doing your best.
Sadness
This is when you feel a little bit down or blue. It’s okay to feel sad sometimes, like when you miss someone or something you love. Just remember, it’s okay to talk about your feelings too.
Anger
Anger is like when you feel really mad or frustrated. It can make you want to stomp your feet or shout, but it’s important to find healthy ways to express it, like talking to a grown-up or taking deep breaths.
Fear
Fear is when you’re scared of something. It’s normal to feel fear when there’s something unfamiliar or a little bit scary. You can always ask for help or talk to someone you trust when you’re scared.
Disgust
Disgust is when something makes you say “yuck!” It’s a feeling you get when you don’t like the taste, smell, or look of something. You might also feel this way if someone acts in a way that doesn’t feel “right” to you.
Surprise
Surprise is when something happens unexpectedly. It’s like a big, delightful “wow” moment that makes your eyes widen and your heart race.
Jealousy
Jealousy is when you wish you had something someone else has. It’s okay to feel this way sometimes, but it’s important to remember that we all have different things to be thankful for.
Confusion
Confusion is when you feel a little lost or unsure about something. You can ask questions and seek help to understand better when you’re feeling confused.
